Started up JTDX and only seeing a few stations reported on each time block (normally it’s at least 20-30 on each pass). Looked up, antenna cable was not connected to the balun. Yes, digimodes are that good 😀

New 9:1 balun (bigger) from hfkits.com is in place, no more overheating on digital modes. I’ve also dropped the EFHW coil for 80m, as it didn’t manage to get it running properly; so just 40, 20, 15 and 10 for now with a simple wire and a bit better SWR on all bands.

Windstorm took down my EFHW (one of the plastic ties broke, imagine that). Thankfully, the balun survived without touching the ground and I had to fish it out (yay Decathlon fishing pole, most useful ham tool) from a juniper tree.
